What is Survival Log?
Survival Log is a zombie-apocalypse hoarding survival simulation released in Early Access on Steam on August 12, 2026 by Midnight Workshop and published by Lilith Games. The core twist: you know the apocalypse is coming in 10 hours. You get one loop to hoard supplies, reinforce your home, and prepare — then zombies flood the city and you must hold out in your stronghold, day by day, until Day 100 and beyond.
The game fuses two distinct phases: the desperate scramble to hoard before the outbreak (raiding supermarkets and construction sites, stocking food, buying materials, upgrading doors and windows) and the relentless challenge of managing your safehouse after (power, cooking, farming, traps, trading, rescuing neighbors, and defending against hordes). Every death becomes experience for the next loop — no run is wasted.

Why is it called "Survival Log"?
You are logging your survival: before the disaster you plan and hoard; after it you record what works. Each loop is another entry in your survival log.
Ready for the outbreak?
Start with the beginners guide, then build your stockpile and safehouse before the horde arrives.
First Week Survival Roadmap
If you just bought the game, here is the high-level plan the detailed guides expand: during the 10-hour countdown, buy food variety and materials, visit supply points daily, and start door/window upgrades by day 2-3. After the outbreak, keep Satiety, Morale, Stamina and Life above 80, cook proper meals, connect power, and build traps before the first horde. Use the beginners guide for the hour-by-hour version, and the stockpile list for the exact purchase order.
The death-loop system is the reason mistakes are cheap: if a run fails, the days you survived settle into Conviction Points that make the next cycle stronger. The official 8/14 update described it as "getting more and more fluent at the survival style you have chosen" — your second loop is always smoother than your first, so do not restart on a whim.
About the Developer & Roadmap
Survival Log is developed by Midnight Workshop and published by Lilith Games. Before the Early Access launch on August 12, 2026, the team ran a public demo for about a month (demo updates on July 10, July 13 and July 21), which built a small but enthusiastic community — the launch-week peak of 7,867 concurrent players is several times higher than typical demo-week numbers for this genre.
The official roadmap, from Dev Log #6 (June 26) and the 8/14 update, centers on a multi-character system: the worker (crafting-focused), the college student (farming/cooking, added 8/14), and a teased warehouse keeper — each with a different starting safehouse layout. Post-disaster exploration is expanding too: the ruined supermarket and the abandoned school are already in, and more maps plus a smartphone social system are announced. The game is being patched almost daily, which is why this guide re-checks official announcements at every update.
